Snowy February

February zoomed by and left snow everywhere. What a beautiful sight! It is hard to believe we live in Texas. We had around 8 inches!!! Here are some pictures of God's winter wonderland:

Our 3 foot deep fire pit turned into a snow pit!

The view of our windmill and the lake beyond look frosty!

Our First Geocaching Event

We hosted our very first Geocaching event. Forty-three people attended and had a GREAT meal at Moms On Main in Aubrey Texas. We met new cachers and caught up with some old friends too. So glad we did this. Thanks to all that came and also to everyone who donated for the door prizes.

Our Son the Star!

Chris and his classmates participated in the UIL One-Act Play. Chris ran the sound board for the play this time instead of acting in it. They received 1st place, best actor, several all-star acting awards. Chris receive the award for Outstanding Tech Crew! We are so proud of them all!

Fast month

January has zoomed by so quickly. I can't believe we are nearing the end. Nothing spectacular has happened this month. We have put away the Christmas decorations (which is always a little depressing), done some geocaching, fishing, running kids to school, activities & work, celebrated friends birthdays, and general chores. Guess that is what makes time fly. Chris starts his practices with his UIL play. He will be running the sound effects. Andy starts up the tennis season and continues to work. So it doesn't look like things are going to slow down at all. Hope everyone had a great first month of 2010 and may February be even better.

December Was A Busy Month!

December kept us busy with decorating, school, volunteering, and running around.

Chris is 14 and in 8th grade. He is taking Theater Arts and performed in a play as a burglar. We went shopping to get his costume. The long hair makes his eyebrows look freaky! He did a fabulous job as playing the head bungling burglar --- he's the tall one on the right. I think his favorite part of the play was when he got to "faint" at the end.

Family came to Dallas to an irish dance competition for their daughter. We had a great time visiting and eating at the Spaghetti Warehouse. Ally got 11th in her solos, 2nd place in her 4 hand team competitions and 1st place with her 8 hand team. We are so proud of her!

Ray is busy with home maintenance and the Knights of Columbus. It's been really nice having him home this year and doing projects together. He is the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus here in Pilot Point and also as a 4th degree he has served in the Color Corps. several times. They all look so good in their regalia (hat, cape, gloves, sword) and tuxedos.

Andy has a list of things keeping him busy too. He was accepted into the National Honor Society, he is going through Confirmation at our church (both of these require community service), working his first job as a dishwasher at a local restaurant, attends the monthly Magic the Gathering card club, tennis (although it has been too cold for that lately), youth activities & serving at our church, and being 16.

Nina kept busy volunteering at the local food bank, practicing for the Christmas mass church choir, and getting ready for the local choir performances. She is a part of the Opera House Singers of Pilot Point (no opera singing though). Lots of practices for the main concert, the toy drive performance, the Christmas on the square concert, and nursing home concert.

We started the Opera House Singers a year ago with 4 members and now we have 21. It will be interesting to see what 2010 brings. Our boys & our friends 2 boys dressed in suits for the main concert. They ushered people across the street and after the concert the served punch and homemade cookies to all in attendance. Man they dress up good!

December was fun and flew by with all the activities going on. We wish you the best in 2010 and may God's blessings pour down on you all.

WELCOME!

Christmas is done and the new year is coming. I have decided to start a blog for no other reason than I have never done it before. Lots of people are doing it, so I thought I would see what it was like. I hope to blog about our life, our interests, our thoughts, and other non-essential items here at the Circle Crazy S ranch or OCrazyS for short.
