Confusing Weather!

The weather has been crazy lately.  One day we are in short sleeves, the next we are in winter coats, and then the next we are back into short sleeves and shorts!  We are just praying for RAIN!!  We need it desperately no matter the temperature.  We had to get rid of our horse and sell most of the cattle.  Can't afford to feed them because hay prices have gone up so much.  Other than that not much happening.

HOT!!!!!

Can you say HOT!!! We have had triple digits and no rain for too long now.  The pastures are brown and we have to buy hay for the animals.  We got into one of our vehicles after it was park at our church all day.  The thermometer read 121 degrees, but cooled down to 115 degrees on the mile ride home!!!! Please God we need rain and lower temps!

Damage

Well, upon walking the property we found one more tree down, one HUGE limb that miraculously missed landing on our aluminum boat, and another LARGE limb that didn't miss the back of our "barn" (the building we use to hold our tractors). More storms last night produce no new damage, thank God.

The roof guy came out today and said that our house roof has some hail damage, but not enough for the insurance to cover, and the barn roof may meet or slightly exceed our insurance deductible.  So, he is going to write up a quote and let us know.  The next decision is whether it is worth turning into the insurance company or not.

STORMS!

Boy the storms rolled through here last night!  There was damage in Pilot Point, but thank God we were spared any major damage. How we needed that rain though!  Our stock tank and pastures were very grateful.

We have weathered the storms.  We lost some trees, but no damage to person or animal.  God was smiling on us.  Getting ready for the hot months.  We are already hitting the high 80s and low 90s! Hope this post finds everyone safe and well.

It was a beautiful, cold day on the ranch yesterday. This is the view from our back window. You can see our windmill & in the distance is Lake Ray Roberts.

The snow is melting away today. School started late today for the boys & Ray went in late to work. I'm doing chores in the house, but stop occasionally to look out the window at the beauty outside.
